Norwich Ems is a progressive type 2A ambulance service, covering nearly 300 square miles of Kingman and Sumner counties 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year from two stations. In addition, there is a second station in Argonia Kansas which has one fully equipped ALS large box ambulance stationed there. It is staffed as a First Response unit as technicians from the Argonia area are able to respond. It is fully equipped and ready to not only be a first response vehicle, but able to be a type 1 transport when an adequate number of technicians are available .
The service is comprised of one full time director, and 27 volunteers serving in various capacities and levels of certification. There is one paramedic, 8 Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians, one Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate/Defibrillator, 15 Emergency Medical Technicians, and 3 drivers on the roster.
